Mizani Fitness Implements Virtual Yoga in the Military Healthcare System
Lyster Army Health Clinic has awarded the Yoga Instructor contract to Mizani Fitness, LLC to provide Yoga classes to the eligible beneficiaries of the Military Healthcare System in association with the LAHC Behavioral Health,Team Resiliency Program.
Lyster Army Health Clinic is located at the home of Army Aviation in Fort Rucker, Alabama and serves about 17,500 patients, including permanent-party Soldiers, Soldiers attending short-term schools, foreign Soldiers, retirees and their family members.
Yoga was added in 2013 as a new treatment for patients seen in the Lyster Army Health Clinic Behavioral Health Program to give them another way to relax. Mizani Fitness implemented virtual Yoga classes into the Military Healthcare System in 2021 to provide a safe and effective alternative for the Beneficiaries and Soldiers to attend the classes.
Beneficiaries of Lyster Army Health Clinic have the opportunity to attend Mizani Fitness virtual Yoga classes from the comfort of their residence or office to enhance their spiritual and mental resiliency. Mizani Fitness Yoga classes are a healing approach to address Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, stress and physical limitations.
